Description
A smooth, natural bamboo toothbrush with soft bristles.
Available in different colours:
- Luscious latte (neutral)
- Tickled pink
What is it made from
The handle of the toothbrush is made from Mao (Moso) bamboo, which is not a food source for pandas.
The soft bristles are made from nylon and are attached to the brush using pressure (so no glue or staples required).
The paint on the handle is made from a natural resin paint, which is plant-based and compostable.
How to dispose of it
The nylon bristles of the brush should be removed and either recycled (via a recycling service that accepts nylon) or disposed of separately from the bamboo handle.
Read my guide to disposing of bamboo toothbrushes for more details on how to remove the bristles.
Both the bamboo handle and the coloured paint on it are compostable. Add it to your home compost or a commercial compost service.
Change your toothbrush every 3-4 months
You should replace your toothbrush every 3-4 months to keep your teeth and gums healthy. You may need to change your toothbrush more frequently if your bristles become frayed and worn sooner than this.
Packaging
f.e.t.e toothbrushes come wrapped in recycled paper and a recycled kraft cardboard box. Both are compostable and recyclable.
